Recent and current professional activities

Academic Experience

Currently teaching graduate and undergraduate courses and leading research projects at Faculty of Education, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. He has refereed and evaluated articles for several international publications. He has supervised both PhD and Master degree students. He has given numerous presentations at seminar and conferences. His publications appear in regional and international journals.

Having served on numerous committees, he has gained extensive administrative experience. He has been a member of several evaluation panels in curriculum and assessment. He is a member of NCTM (National Council of Teachers of Mathematics),USA and Mathematics Association of Malaysia.

Interests and achievements

His interests have been mathematics teaching and learning : mathematics problem solving, ICT integration in mathematics education, attitudes and beliefs of teachers and students, and he has undertaken research related to all of these areas. Publications include the following books: Asas Pembelajaran Koperatif Dalam Matematik (Foundation of Cooperative Learning in Mathematics, 2005),Trend Pengajaran dan Pembelajaran Matematik (Trends in Teaching and Learning of Mathematics, 2007), and most recently, Teknologi Maklumat & Komunikasi Dlm Pendidikan Matematik dan Sains (ICT in Mathematics and Science Education, 2012). He has a total of 104 published articles (45 Journals, 4 Books, 15 Chapters in Book, 4 Research Report, 36 Proceedings)
